From hand-picked herbs to biodegradable plant-based tea bags, PLŪKT is environmentally-conscious and socially responsible brand. We take care of herbs growing in natural meadows and forests, and our actions preserve the great biodiversity. PLŪKT main suppliers are local organic farmers and landowners to whom a source of additional income is provided hence supporting communities in rural areas. Hand-picked herbs are dried by using sun and wind energy, and all our products and packaging can be recycled and is plastic-free.
PLŪKT is a family-owned, women-lead brand founded in 2017 by Līga Lieplapa and Māra Lieplapa – mother and daughter. Līga has more than 20 years of experience in environmental sciences and is a tea master. Rich knowledge and expertise in tea cultures is at the core of unique and science-based products.
Māra Lieplapa founded PLŪKT at the age of 21. Māra has been acknowledged as the young entrepreneur of the year and has made sure that PLŪKT Nordic teas are available in 14 countries. Māra takes care of business development, export management and innovation.
